NEWS RELEASE
GRAND RIVER CONSERVATION AUTHORITY
*************************
A low pressure system associated with the remnants of Tropical Depression Gordon will be entering southwestern Ontario on Sunday.

The system is expected to track primarily over the southern part of the Grand River watershed and bring up to 75 mm of rainfall. The rain will be fairly widespread and accompanied with thunderstorms and winds, primarily Sunday evening and overnight until Monday morning.

Runoff is expected from this rainfall; however, no significant flooding is expected with the currently forecast rainfall amounts. Recreational river users such as anglers and paddlers should be aware of the potentially higher flows and hazardous conditions along the watercourses.

GRCA staff will continue to monitor conditions and will update this message as necessary. This message will remain in effect until Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.
