POLL: About two-thirds of readers are introverts

Our poll this week looks at the many divides between introverts and extroverts. One that stands out: introverts are more likely to consume cannabis, while extroverts are more likely to consume alcohol

About a third of our readers say they are extroverts.

Are you the life of the party, or do you quietly sneak glances at your watch?

When you see someone reading a book, do you have an overwhelming need to stop them so they can talk to you?

For better or worse, introverts and extroverts have to share the world, despite moments of mutual frustration. 

Most of you said you were more introverted than extroverted in a recent poll:

More women said they were introverts than men:

There is a mild but interesting connection to political affiliation, with Liberals and New Democrats more introverted, and Conservatives more extroverted:

Extroverts are mildly more likely to prefer downhill skiing to some other winter pastimes:

We polled readers a few months ago about how they were affected by the LCBO strike, and realized that we'd inadvertently created a poll about alcohol consumption. (We also polled about cannabis consumption, but more directly.)

It turns out that there's a strong pattern in which extroverts are more likely to consume alcohol, while introverts are more likely to consume cannabis:
