Police allege unlicensed Cadillac driver was carrying wanted man with knives

CITY OF GUELPH – On August 9, 2016 at approximately 2:05 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 2003 Cadillac at Beaver Meadow Drive and Clair Road, Guelph for a traffic violation. 

The female driver was not licenced and the male passenger had outstanding warrants for his arrest. 

The man was arrested and during the search of his belongings, two knives were located. It was revealed that he was on court conditions not to possess the knives. 

The search continued of the vehicle, suspected psilocybin (mushrooms) was located and belonged to the driver. She was arrested and released at the scene with court documents.

26-year-old Chrystal Bible of North Perth has been charged with possession of psilocybin contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and driving without a licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.  She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 20, 2016.

36-year-old Christopher Hanley of Guelph has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and fail to comply with a Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code. 

He was provided Court documents and will appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 20, 2016. The Police Service that had the outstanding warrants took custody of him.
