Two city managers with high profile portfolios are no longer working for the City of Guelph.

The city confirmed that both General Manager of Business Development and Enterprise Helen Loftin and General Manager of Human Resources David Godwaldt are gone.

"Helen Loftin resigned from her position as General Manager of Business Development and Enterprise on December 3, 2019. David Godwaldt’s employment as General Manager, Human Resources ceased on December 11, 2019, as the city is undergoing a functional review and organizational change in the business area," said an email from Tara Sprigg, General Manager of Corporate Communications and Customer Service, in response to an inquiry from GuelphToday.

Loftin joined the city in August of 2018 after a career working with government, private sector and community partners.

Godwaldt had been the city's General Manager of Human Resources since 2012.
