No reported injuries from house fire on Arthur Street this morning

Five Guelph fire stations with 22 staff responded to a fire at 114 Arthur St. N.

Guelph Fire Services responded to a house fire this morning on Arthur Street North.

A call came in at 5:21 a.m. for a fire at 114 Arthur St. N. It’s a rental property with at least two units.

There are no reported injuries. It’s too early in the investigation to know how the fire started. “Until we investigate we can’t tell,” said Steven Goode, deputy Guelph fire chief.

Part of the siding of a home at 112 Arthur St. N. melted from the radiate heat from the house fire next to it.

This morning five Guelph fire stations responded with 22 staff onsite. A section of the road is closed from the corner of Eramosa Road and Arthur Street to King Street and Arthur Street.

Goode said it is likely the road will open by this evening.
