Visibility might have been about 100 meters at best Wednesday morning. A dense fog bank settled over the city and the surrounding countryside overnight Wednesday.
And while the fog lifted somewhat as the morning progressed, a certain Gothic air lingered throughout the early part of the day.
Environment Canada issued a fog advisory for Wellington County early Wednesday, and for good reason. Farmyards were completely shrouded, as were oncoming vehicles. Damp conditions on Tuesday, rising temperatures and calm conditions produced the foggy atmosphere.
There was a high of 14C forecast for Wednesday, and the same on Thursday. Expect rain Friday and Saturday, with a high of 9C. Environment Canada calls for a high of 0C on Sunday and Monday.
