We asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Guelph Food Bank this festive season — and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that the Guelph Food Bank needs our support more than ever.

GuelphToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.

We partnered with Market Fresh to offer gift cards for purchase through an online pop-up store.

GuelphToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched 14 times!

Together, we raised an incredible $6500 for the Guelph Food Bank and delivered 15 gift cards, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!

Special thanks to Market Fresh for donating the gift cards for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Joe Migliaccio - Desjardins Insurance, Stone Accounting, Original Home Furniture, Anthony Homes, Auto Clinic, Air Wave Heating & Cooling, Guelph Family Martial Arts, Conestoga College, Chestnut Park Realty, Dettmer Tires, NV Kitchen + Bar,  The Letter MKirtida KitchenFive Rivers Property Management Group and Parada Dentures.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can give online or call (519-767-1380) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
