The 10th annual Hope in the Street event raised $43,600.

The music and food oriented street festival was held at Spring Mill Distillery at 43 Arthur St. on Sept. 20.

Money raised from the event goes toward Hope House, a non-profit organization with programs and services aiming to tackle poverty.

Musical acts like Guelph and Elora based band You Might Be Sleeping and fun music for families with Mr. J and the Groovy Gang played at the festival. Food from Guelph based businesses like Laza and The Nguyen's Vietnamese Family Restaurant sold food for festival goers.

Hope House thanked sponsors, volunteers and everyone who came to the event through its email newsletter.
