What organizers hope will be the first of an annual event drew hundreds of people to Carden Street on Thursday night as the Guelph Street Party went off without a hitch.
Children's inflatables, live entertainment, a beer garden, food, climbing wall, face painting and rides in the Guelph Fire Department's aerial ladder were all part of the fun, played out on a warm summer night on a closed-off Carden Street.
The event was also to recognize and raise money for the World Dwarf Games that are going on all week at the University of Guelph, with money being raised through the GiveSome app.
