A Guelph man missing since June 10 has been found safe.

Police reported Friday afternoon that Grant Donais, 36, has been found.

His father Roger Donais said his son was located camping near McConnell Lake, roughly 50 kilometres north of North Bay.

"We're relieved, much relieved," said Roger Donais when contacted by phone by GuelphToday.

Grant Donais' father-in-law who lives in Northern Ontario had placed posters in the area, where he and Grant used to go camping and fishing.

Somebody saw Grant and recognized him from the poster and then notified the local OPP, who then located the missing man.

OPP spoke to him and determined he was not at any risk. After advising him to contact people who were worried about him, they left him at his campground.

"There's no cell phone service or anything up where he is," his father said.

"We're just happy he's been found and that he's okay. This makes the waiting a whole lot easier I'll tell you," Roger Donais said.

He said Det. Const. Scott Wright of the Guelph Police called to inform the Donais family he had been found safe around 1:30 on Friday, Roger Donais said.

Donais was last seen on a business surveillance camera in Guelph on June 10.

Family became concerned when  Donais, who had been dealing with depression issues, missed a scheduled appointment June 11 to pick up his two children at their mother's house to take them to school.

His father Roger Donais reported his son missing to Guelph Police on June 16.

Donais had connections to northern Ontario and a sister in Alberta. It was hoped he had gone to visit one of those places.
