Fire at 17 Peachtree Cr
On 22 May 2020, the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported house fire at the above-noted location. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found smoke and flames coming from the roof area of the house.
Firefighters made entry into the home and proceeded to the second floor and began pulling down the ceiling to gain access to the fire, which was in the attic space. Firefighters performed an aggressive interior attack which brought the fire under control and subsequently extinguished.
There were no injuries, all occupants of the structure had self-evacuated upon arrival. The cause of the fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation by Guelph Fire investigators.
Agencies assisting on scene included Guelph Police Service, Guelph Hydro, Union Gas and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Service (GWEMS).
