NEWS RELEASE
ELORA FARMERS' MARKET
*************************
The Elora Farmers’ Market will be back operating the outdoor market in Bissell Park, 127 East Mill St., Elora starting May 22, fresh as ever and local as ever!

Farmers’ Markets are considered an essential service and can be open now for food vendors only. However, the Elora Farmers’ Market decided that to support the ‘Stay at Home’ order it will delay its start to the first post lockdown Saturday.

The later opening also means a more robust market.  Many of our growers will have more products available and our artisan vendors can also be there. That is a good thing for everyone, and all our vendors are eager to greet their customers face to face.

The Elora Farmers’ Market follows Covid-19 safety protocols to ensure a safe market experience for our customers and vendors. This means one-way pedestrian traffic flow, ample spacing between vendors, and clear distance markings for customers. We will monitor and manage the volume of foot traffic in the market area.

We love our market customers but please know that until we are all safe, social gatherings within the market area will not be permitted.

The Elora Farmers’ Market was founded on values of community, local, sustainable food, and support of our local growers, makers, bakers, and artisans.  We are in our 16th year of operation. We operate our outdoor market every Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. between May and the end of October.

We now have two great ways to serve you:

  1. Online market: Click, select and pickup.
  2. Walk through market: Look, select and buy.

Learn more on our website:  www.elorafarmersmarket.ca.

Join us on Saturday, May 22 at our walkthrough market and be part of the great local food economy! Thank you for remembering to physically distance and wear a mask at your own discretion.
