Get ready for a spooktacular time as the annual Downtown Guelph Trick-or-Treat event returns for its sixth year on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12 p.m. until the goodies disappear. It's a fangtastic event for all ages that promises thrills, chills, and tons of treats.

Over 40 downtown stores will be transforming into Halloween wonderlands, ready to hand out delicious treats and maybe a few tricks. To help you navigate this Halloween adventure, we recommend downloading the Driftscape app. Simply highlight the 'event' section and follow the glowing pumpkins to discover the hidden treasures. As candies are claimed, they'll vanish from the app.

Before you head out, make sure to consult the User Guide to Driftscape, available in a convenient PDF format, for step-by-step instructions on how to participate seamlessly.

Capture the spirit of Halloween by taking a snapshot of your costume at any downtown business or at the selfie station located at the family fountain. Then, enter our exciting online costume contest! Share your photo online using the hashtag #DowntownGuelphCostumeContest and tag @DowntownGuelph for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

Speaking of the family fountain, we're encouraging attendees to support the Guelph Food Bank by bringing donations. In return, you'll receive treats handed out by Acqua Hair Salon and Valentini Hair Design, making it a heartwarming and rewarding experience for all.

For those feeling creative, Play with Clay is offering Halloween-themed clay building activities, and at The Dragon in Old Quebec Street Shoppes, you can score free comics. Plus, don't miss your chance to enter a raffle at The Dragon for a gift basket loaded with hundreds of dollars worth of prizes from downtown businesses.

So, gather your ghouls and ghosts, and dress up in your most spellbinding Halloween costumes to enjoy a wickedly good time in Downtown Guelph. This event promises to be a memorable and fun-filled occasion for everyone.

Don't miss out on the Halloween event of the year! See you in Downtown Guelph on Oct. 28 for a spooktacular time!
