With overnight snow removal efforts set to begin downtown on Monday, city officials are asking people not to park on the street.
The initiative runs through to Thursday morning, happening nightly between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
“Snow removal activities and equipment may temporarily increase noise in the downtown area,” states a post on the city’s website. “We appreciate your patience, understanding and co-operation as our crews do their best to maintain the area during the winter months.”
Rather than park on the street, city officials direct people to the municipal lots on Macdonell and Wilson streets, which are free between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.
