The new high school in south Guelph is now expected to open in fall 2025.
The expected start date of construction is early 2024, says the Upper Grand District School Board.
The high school was initially approved by the province in January 2018.
The completion of construction and opening of the school is expected in fall 2025, but is subject to change due to supply chain challenges, a board spokesperson said.
The previous cost of the school was $25.5 million and was to supposed to open September 2022. The UGDSB said a new cost will be known when the project goes to tender.
The as-yet unnamed school is at the corner Arkell Road and Victoria Road and will accommodate 900 students.
The information was provided by UGDSB facilities, through UGDSB spokesperson Heather Loney.
