Lace up those sneakers, because the annual Terry Fox Run returns this September.
The run will kick off on Sept. 17 at Silvercreek Park on the corner of Wellington St. E and Edinburgh Rd. S., and will go from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The event is held each year in support of the Terry Fox Foundation’s cancer research and treatment efforts.
The fundraising goal is $35,000 this year. Organizers said the 2022 run raised around $58,000, with about 350 participants.
The distance hasn’t been announced yet, though last year’s event in Royal City Park was 10 km.
The run is wheelchair and bicycle accessible. Dogs are welcome if they're kept on a leash.
