GuelphToday received the following letter regarding a good deed on New Year's Day.
Here’s a wonderful New Year’s Day story.
“There are lots of stories in the big city…”
At 11 o’clock tonight, my wife and I heard the sounds of voices and snow shovelling next door, at the Norfolk Manor, and then in front of our building. Looking out, I saw two men clearing the city sidewalk (usually a job I do), and our front walk. When I went out to thank them, one fellow replied “That’s what neighbours do for one another.”
Just a reminder to those who don’t know, these are our homeless neighbours at 128 Norfolk, looked after by Stepping Stone there. Thanks to those two good men.
