FERGUS – Patrick Anderson's sixth and final Paralympic Games are off to a great start.
Easy to recognize in the starting line-up thanks to his neon yellow wheelchair, the Fergus native scored 31 of 83 points during Team Canada's first round-robin game of men's wheelchair basketball against France Friday afternoon.
Achieving a triple-double, Anderson made 14 of 21 attempted two-pointers, three free throws and 13 assists throughout the game.
Of his 12 total rebounds, 11 were defensive.
Two three-point shots were attempted but unsuccessful.
With this victory, Canada's men's team is currently second among the Group A teams with 15 points.
Next, the team will take on Great Britain on Saturday starting at 6:45 a.m.
