Harriston Street Party bringing fun for the whole family downtown

The annual event will take place on Elora Street in downtown Harriston from 7:30 a.m. to midnight

HARRISTON – Dance, eat and play in the streets from sunrise to sunset at this year's Harriston Street Party.

Taking place in downtown Harriston on Elora Street between Arthur Street and Mill Street, the annual event will kick off on Aug. 10 with a breakfast hosted by the Harriston Legion from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. while morning activities are set to begin at 9 a.m. 

Sidewalk sales at local businesses, food trucks, the Harriston Historical Society BBQ and Minto Makers' Market in Tannery Park will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids and family activities like the Foam Party, balloons, face painting, Sundaes on the Street and hockey interactives are set to run between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. 

The Leslie Motors Classic Car Show will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

With tickets to be sold in advance, residents can also eat a Buffet on the Boulevard for $30. Catered by Homestyle Bites, the meal will contain chicken thighs, potato and pasta salad, coleslaw, a bun and dessert and comes with free admission to the annual Harriston Street Dance from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Dance tickets are also available for a $5 cover charge.
