ERIN - The Town of Erin has closed both of its Erin and Hillsburgh recreation facilities due to a possible COVID-19 exposure.

On Dec. 22, the town tweeted that out of abundance of caution, both Erin and Hillsburgh recreation facilities will be closed until further notice, due to a possible COVID-19 exposure.

“Someone visited one of the recreation facilities and received a notification saying that they have been exposed to COVID-19. This individual informed us and out of abundance of caution, we decided to close both facilities,” said Lavina Dixit, senior communications officer for the town.

Anyone who has visited either of the recreation facilities between Dec. 18 to Dec. 20 should contact Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.

The town reminds residents to always follow public health guidelines and procedures whenever leaving their homes.
