Bronte Creek Maple Syrup Festival

As winter gives way to spring, Bronte Creek Provincial Park becomes the hub of activity as the Maple Syrup Festival kicks off in full swing. Visitors are invited to take part in the festivities and learn the art of making maple syrup. The Bronte Creek Maple Syrup Festival, which runs throughout March, offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. From watching the maple syrup production process to sampling maple taffy and pancakes with fresh maple syrup, there's plenty to enjoy.

Guided Walks in Algonquin Park

Throughout the month of March, Algonquin Park will be hosting a series of guided walks that are perfect for families. Visitors can choose from a variety of different themed walks, including birds and bogs, story on the trail, life as a logger, and a guided tree walk. With so many unique options available, families are sure to find a walk that piques their interest and offers an educational and enjoyable experience.

March Break at Pinery Provincial Park

March Break at Pinery will include a variety of interpretive programs every day. This includes daily turtle talks where visitors can join a naturalist at the Visitor Centre to take a short tour of the live exhibits and discover more about these special reptilian creatures. Visitors can also look forward to guided themed hikes, chickadee feedings, snowshoeing, hiking, outdoor skating, and more. Be sure to check Pinery's daily events to see what events are taking place.

 45th Annual Waterfowl Weekend at Presqu’ile Provincial Park 

The 45th annual Waterfowl Weekend is taking place on March 18-19 at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, known for being a world-class waterfowl viewing destination. During the spring migration, visitors can expect to spot over 25 different species of ducks, geese, and swans at Presqu'ile. Volunteer naturalists will be stationed around the park from 10 am to 4 pm to assist visitors in viewing and identifying the various waterfowl species.

Additionally, the Friends of Presqu'ile Park will be holding a BBQ lunch fundraiser at the Lighthouse on both Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 11 am. The Lighthouse Interpretive Centre will also be open, showcasing exhibits on waterfowl and the rich history of Presqu'ile and the surrounding area. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to witness the beauty of waterfowl in their natural habitat while enjoying some delicious food and learning more about the history of Presqu'ile.
