Woman caught during break-in

A Guelph woman faces charges after she was caught during a break-in and then gave a false name.

Approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday police were called to an apartment unit near Brant Avenue and Victoria Road North. The complainant saw someone entering the unit of a friend who is in the process of moving.

Officers arrived a short time later and observed a woman inside the unit. She spoke with officers and provided a name later determined to be false.

A 44-year-old Guelph woman is charged with break and enter, possessing stolen property and obstructing police.
