A 50-year-old Guelph man is facing a mix of old and new charges following a traffic stop on Wednesday morning.
According to police, a vehicle was stopped by officers near Speedvale Avenue East and Metcalfe Street at about 10:40 a.m. During the subsequent investigation, police learned the driver was wanted for theft in another jurisdiction and is also prohibited from driving.
As a result, he was arrested for theft under $5,000 and driving while prohibited.
