On Oct. 11, 2017 members of the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Technological Crimes Unit executed a criminal code search warrant at a residence in the north end of Guelph. A variety of computer systems and digital devices were seized as a result.
Further investigation into these items resulted in the arrest of Gabriel Mellor, 44 years of Guelph. Mr. Mellor was charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. He was released with a court date in November of 2017.
