A Guelph high school student faces a weapons charge after five knives were found last week inside a school.
Guelph police did not identify the school.
During lunch hour Friday, two students were playfighting in the hallway of their school when a folding knife fell out of one student’s pocket onto the floor. The knife was seized by the vice-principal and turned over to the school’s high school resource officer.
The student was arrested and during a search of his person a second knife was found attached to his keys. A search of his locker revealed three more folding knives.
An 18-year-old Guelph man is charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
