Guelph police are investigating after a downtown business was entered Friday evening.
On Friday morning, employees of a business near Quebec Street and Baker Street arrived to find a glass front door smashed, however it did not appear entry was gained. Staff covered the broken window with boards and continued business for the day.
All employees left at approximately 6:30 p.m., but when the owner came back two hours later to drop something off the boards had been removed.
A laptop, coffee maker and a large number of personal care items had been stolen. The suspect also stole a laundry hamper, which was likely used to carry the other items. The stolen items are valued at approximately $3,000.
