A Guelph woman faces a long list of charges after she was arrested Thursday on four outstanding warrants.

Police say just before 11 a.m. they were called for a report of an unwanted person near Auden Road and Eastview Road. A resident reported a woman was in her backyard and had smashed a large window. The suspect attempted to flee on a bicycle when officers arrived but was arrested a short distance away.

Investigation revealed she was wanted on four warrants for several charges including motor vehicle theft, driving while prohibited and breaching probation orders.

The victim reported she had earlier received threatening messages through social media and was concerned for her safety. During a search incident to arrest officers recovered a collapsible baton in the woman’s backpack.

A 31-year-old Guelph woman faces new charges of carrying a concealed weapon, mischief under $5,000, uttering death threats, failing to attend court and two additional counts of breaching probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
