Police say the person who was struck was an adult, not a student at either school. The incident happened in front of the entrance to St. John Catholic Elementary school.
Victoria Road appears to be closed between Grange Street and Cassino Avenue.

Guelph police are investigating after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle on Victoria Road early this afternoon.
As a result, Victoria Road North between Delmar Boulevard and Grange Street is closed to all traffic.
The incident happened near St. James high school.
