Police recovered a loaded handgun, cocaine and more than $5,000 in cash from a west-end home Wednesday.

A loaded gun was seized as part of a drug bust that resulted in six arrests by Guelph police.

Police said officers conducted a search at a home near Willow Road and Applewood Crescent Wednesday afternoon, and nabbed a small amount of cocaine and over $5,000 in cash.

Police also seized a loaded Smith & Wessen 9mm handgun with an extended magazine.

Three men and two women from Guelph, as well as a Kitchener man are facing several charges, including possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, possessing proceeds of crime, possessing a controlled substance and breaching court orders.

Police add “several of those in the residence” were not supposed to associate with each other due to a court order.
