Police investigating after objects thrown at vehicles off Hanlon overpass

The incident happened in late September and police believe that other vehicles may have been damaged as well

Wellington County OPP is looking for the public's assistance with a mischief investigation.

On Sept. 29, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the Hanlon Expressway in the City of Guelph for a mischief complaint.

Investigation revealed a vehicle was damaged after being struck by undetermined object(s) that came from the Wellington Street overpass. Two individuals in dark clothing were observed running from the overpass shortly after.

Police believe other vehicles may have been damaged as a result.

The Wellington County OPP are asking for individuals who may have been impacted to contact them. Further, if you were in the area and have video or dash cam footage, please call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
