On Feb. 21, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., police were called to an intersection where there was a report of a collision. A vehicle had veered off the road and slammed into a hydro pole, causing significant damage.
Investigation revealed that the single motor vehicle collision resulted from an altercation between the driver and passenger. It is alleged that the actions of passenger caused the collision.
As a result of the collision, the male driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle was demolished and the hydro pole was sheared off.
The passenger, an 18-year-old Guelph female was arrested and charged with criminal negligence.
