A Guelph man faces charges after a series of disturbances downtown on Friday.
Approximately 2:15 p.m. police were called to the provincial courthouse on Wyndham Street South for reports of a male causing a disturbance by kicking windows and yelling at staff and members of the public.
Officers moved him along, but just over an hour later the same male attended a nearby restaurant where he took a drink without paying, yelled at staff and smashed a window causing more than $500 in damage.
An hour after that, police received several calls from a nearby park about a male near the playground yelling at families and causing some to leave out of fear for their safety.
A 30-year-old Guelph man is charged with mischief under $5,000, causing a disturbance and two counts of breaching a probation order.
