Guelph police are investigating after more than 60 bottles of scotch and cognac were stolen from a south-end business in separate incidents Sunday evening.
Approximately 7:15 p.m. a male entered the LCBO store on Scottsdale Drive and began concealing bottles of scotch in his jacket. A short time later a second male attended with a wheeled bag, placed 18 bottles of scotch inside and walked out of the store. The first male then also left the store.
The suspects were described as:
- 5’7”, 35 to 40 years of age, 160 pounds and wearing a black jacket, blue scarf and blue hat and carrying a blue bag
- 5’9”, 35 to 40, 180 pounds and wearing a black shirt, green khaki pants, red and black hat with Punisher logo and Converse shoes and pulling a blue roller bag
In total 20 bottles of alcohol were stolen.
Less than an hour later, two males entered the same store and made their way to the warehouse section where they began placing high-end products on a cart. They left out a rear door with 44 bottles of scotch and cognac.
They were described as:
- Brown male with a beard, wearing a green jacket, grey sweatpants, checkered scarf and black and white shoes
- Brown male wearing a black jacket, black pants, black winter hat and white shoes
It is not known if the incidents are related.
