Man shows up for court, charged with break and enter

The suspect, wanted in connection with a Hanlon Creek Boulevard break and enter investigation, entered the court house for an unrelated matter

On April 30, 2018, Guelph police attended to a Hanlon Creek Boulevard business where there was a report of a break and enter. Investigation led to the identification of the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest. As part of the investigation, a vehicle used in the break and enter was identified.

On May 1, 2018, the vehicle involved in the break and enter was located on College Avenue. This vehicle was seized and, through a search warrant, several items from the break and enter were recovered.

On May 4, 2018 at approximately 11 a.m., the suspect entered the court house for an unrelated matter. Dylan Popyk, a 30-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was given a June 15, 2018 court date.
