Christmas Eve Highway 6 traffic stop results in impaired driving charge

On December 24, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m. an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment initiated a traffic stop on Highway 6, near Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, a 43 years-old from Guelph was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph, on January 7, 2025.
