A Guelph man faces impaired and dangerous driving charges after colliding Saturday night with a parked vehicle, Guelph police report.
Approximately 10:15 p.m. police were called to the area of Arthur Street North and Eramosa Road after several residents called to report a collision. Investigation revealed a driver lost control and struck a parked vehicle, causing extensive damage.
Officers spoke to the driver and immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. He was transported to the police station, where tests revealed he had three times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
A 33-year-old man is charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving.
