Guelph cannabis store robbed at gunpoint

Police are investigating after a north end business was robbed by three men Thursday evening; one of them armed with a handgun.

Just before 7 p.m. police were called to Canna Cabana cannabis store in the Walmart plaza on Woodlawn Road. Staff reported a female had entered the store but was not able to complete her purchase as she did not have valid identification. She left the business and got into a black sedan parked outside.

A few minutes later three men exited the sedan and entered the business. One was carrying a black handgun and another had a claw hammer with a wooden handle. Both weapons were used to threaten and intimidate the two female employees.

The suspects fled with cash and product. The employees were not physically injured.

The suspects were described as:

  1. Black male, dark complexion, 5’10”, heavy build, yellow zip-up hoodie, black Nike balaclava, black pants, black gloves
  2. Black male, lighter complexion, 6’, slim build, long black hair, blue hoodie under yellow vest, black pants, blue shoes
  3. Black male, dark complexion, 5’8” to 5’10” with a slim build, black North Face windbreaker, grey track pants, black shoes, black duffle bag
  4. White female, tanned skin, medium build, black shoulder-length hair, black puffy jacket with fur-lined hood, black leggings, black shirt, pink toque, black medical mask

They were driving in a black Hyundai Sonata with custom chrome rims.
