A Guelph woman has been arrested after a man was seriously injured last month.
On Feb. 17, a woman contacted police to report her friend had been injured. Investigation revealed a man in his 50s had been visiting a female friend when she abruptly picked up a clay planter and struck him on the head, causing a large laceration. He was also struck twice in the head with a drill, causing further injuries, before he was able to flee the home.
He attended hospital for treatment of his injuries.
On Thursday a 39-year-old Guelph woman was arrested for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
