(GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were on scene of a serious single motor vehicle collision.
On November 3, 2024, just after 10:30 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle rollover collision on Wellington Road 51, Ariss, east of Wellington Road 86. It was reported that a grey sedan was involved in a single vehicle collision, involving a rollover.
OPP, alongside local emergency services responded to the scene. The driver, a 41-year-old from Waterloo, was pronounced deceased at scene.
The roadway was closed for the safety of emergency responders and investigation until early morning hours and have since been reopened.
Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team has attended the scene and is assisting with the investigation. The office of the Chief Coroner was notified and attended the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and anyone with information related to it is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.

Wellington Road 51 is closed between Wellington Road 86 and the 6th Line in Guelph/Eramosa Township. Please avoid the area while the Wellington County OPP continue to investigate along with the Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.
