A male was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with serious injuries after a collision late Thursday night, Guelph police report.
Approximately 11:45 p.m. emergency services were called to Speedvale Avenue West between Silvercreek Parkway and Dawson Road. Investigation revealed a pickup and transport truck collided head-on, with the driver of the pickup becoming trapped in his crushed vehicle.
A man in his 50s was extricated from the pickup and transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries. A section of Speedvale Avenue was closed for several hours as crews worked to clean up spilled fluids from the vehicles.
