An Amber Alert has been issued by Waterloo Regional Police for an alleged abduction in Kitchener.
According to the Amber Alert website, three-year old Hanan Ahmed and one-year old Fowsia Ahmed went missing just before 6:30 p.m. Monday evening in the Kinzie Avenue and River Road East area.
The alleged abductors are their 21-year old mother Mariam Muhsin Mohamed, along with a male suspect Maxamed Abukar Maxaad.
Mohamed stands 5'3" and is around 110 lbs. She's described as black, with shoulder length curly hair.
Maxaad is described as black, 5'8" and 122 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
They were seen in a 2018 Grey Kia, with the license plate number CFEN 639.
According to Regional Police, the suspects took the children from the area after an altercation, where two men were stabbed.
They were both taken to hospital.
Police are also confirming two people have been arrested.
Police say if you see the children or the suspects not to approach, and to call 911 immediately.
