Nominations are being accepted for the 2020 Guelph Sports Hall of Fame.
“We invite the public to help us recognize and celebrate Guelph’s sports heroes by nominating community members who reflect sporting excellence in our city,” says Andrew Maloney, chair of the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, who also explains that the selection committee relies on public participation to create a pool of candidates.
Categories include athlete, builder and team. To be eligible, nominees must have outstanding achievement and prominence in a sport or made a major contribution to the development and advancement of sports in Guelph.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday, October 31. Learn more about eligibility and selection process.
The 2020 inductees will be announced next March and celebrated in May at the annual Kiwanis Sports Celebrity Dinner.
