BARRIE – Playing with just nine forwards and without six key players, the Guelph Storm fell 6-1 to the Barrie Colts Saturday night in Barrie.

It was Guelph's sixth loss in a row. They host Brampton today in a 4 p.m. start.

Jett Luchanko, Will Haley, Ryan McGuire, Quinn Beauchesne, Sam Johnston and Vilmer Alriksson all missed the game due to illness, injury, suspension and, in Luchanko's case, returning from the NHL. To make matters worse the team lost defenceman Rowan Topp in the first period due to injury.

The game was tied 1-1 after 20 minutes before Barrie scored three unanswered goals in the second to blow the game open.

Leo Serlin had Guelph's lone goal, a shorthanded tally.

Brayden Gillespie faced 33 shots in net.
