Woman thrown from bike in collision with pickup

The 22-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with wrist and knee injuries

On June 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Wyndham Street South for the report of a cyclist struck.

It is alleged that a grey Ford pickup truck travelling south on Wyndham made a right turn across a bicycle lane colliding with a cyclist also travelling south.

The cyclist, a 22-year-old Guelph female, sustained injuries to her wrist and knee after being thrown from the bike. She was transported to Guelph General Hospital.

The driver of the pickup, a 24-year-old Acton male, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with fail to yield to traffic.
