Saturday

Guelph Farmers’ Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers.

Elora Farmers’ Market

Bissell Park, 127 East Mill St., Elora; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Outdoor market on the banks of the Grand River with local food and artisan vendors.

Aberfoyle Farmers Market

Puslinch Optimist Recreation Centre, 23 Brock Rd. S., Aberfoyle; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Puslinch’s farmers’ market with locally grown and handmade products.

Guelph Handmade Market

Royal City Park 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pirate Festival

Marden Park, 7368 Wellington County Road 30, Guelph 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Ontario Pirate Festival returns to Marden Park in Guelph, for the August long weekend. Live shows including magic and juggling, live music, the mud show, and a live falconry demonstration. The Pirate marketplace features over 30 vendors with handmade crafts including leather, wood, metal, jewellery, and more. Food available, licensed event, free parking and an adults-only party on Saturday evening.

Sound Healing Jam: Learning to use instruments for healing

Guelph Little Theatre 176 Morris St., Guelph 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bring your instruments, even if just your hands, and breath and share in a musical jam. $5 at the door.

Sunday

Pirate Festival

Midsommar Market: for ethereal oddities and summer celebrations

Red Chevron Club 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The market will feature vendors such as antique collectors, nature artists, designers and candle makers specializing in ethereal oddities. Vendors on Sunday are Jordan Noir, Plantichrist, Violet Rabbit Arts and Magical Mushroom Studio to name a few.

It’s Snakeroot Productions’ own version of a fairy, medieval, folky midsommar festival. It is the market company’s fourth market with activities for all ages.
