Kindergarten registration is open for the Upper Grand District School Board.
Registration is for the 2025/2026 school year. Children born in 2021 are eligible for junior kindergarten and for senior kindergarten its children born in 2020. If a child was in junior kindergarten in the UGDSB they don’t have to register for senior kindergarten.
The deadline to register for French immersion is Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. There is no deadline for the English program registration.
Here is the information and documents needed to register:
- Proof of age (birth certificate, birth registration form, Canadian citizenship/permanent resident card, passport and custodial documents)
- Proof of address like a utility, tax, cable or internet bill (driver’s license, bank/credit card statements or cellphone bills are not accepted)
- Verification of date of arrival/immigration documents (if child was not born in Canada)
Immunization records should be submitted to Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.
For the English program, once the registration form is submitted make an appointment with the school to share the documents to verify the information within two weeks of submitting. If the application is for the 2024-2025 junior kindergarten French Immersion program, call the school since admission is subject to available space.
