Rising from humble beginnings in pubs and coffeehouses to massive success as an international best-selling artist, Tom Cochrane has cemented his place as a Canadian music icon. Cochrane will take the stage with his band, Red Rider, at River Run Centre on Sunday, March 18, at 8 p.m. The Main Stage performance is presented as part of the Richardson GMP Music Series.
Cochrane and Red Rider have been on the road celebrating the anniversary of the release of Cochrane’s landmark album Mad Mad World, which includes the anthem Life Is A Highway and smash hit No Regrets, among other classics. Their powerful and passionate performance will prove why Cochrane’s music has had such staying power in Canada and around the world.

With Red Rider and as a solo artist, Cochrane has released 17 albums and shaped the musical landscape for generations of Canadians. A Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, Cochrane is the winner of eight Juno awards and has sold more than six million albums. Among his many projects with Red Rider are the recordings Neruda (1983), Victory Day (1988) and The Symphony Sessions (1989). His solo albums include Mad Mad World (1991), No Stranger (2006) and Take It Home (2015).
An Officer of the Order of Canada, Cochrane is also well-known for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian and charitable causes. He has undertaken numerous trips to Africa and Asia on behalf of World Vision and offers support to causes including raising funds for Parkinson’s research.
Tickets to see Tom Cochrane with Red Rider cost $64 for adults, $62 for seniors and students. $20 uGO tickets are available to university and college students with valid ID. $5 eyeGO tickets are available to high school students with valid ID.
