Silence Sounds will be screening Indigenous documentary ‘Yintah’ this Thursday.

The film, which previously screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, follows Wet’suwet’en leaders and land defenders for over a decade as they re-occupy and fight to protect their lands from fossil fuel companies.

It was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released on Netflix later this month. It’s also available on Youtube and CBC Gem.

Wet’suwet’en land defender Jocey Shadows will be tuning in over Zoom for a discussion afterwards.

The screening will start at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 17. Tickets are pay-what-you can at the door, and all funds raised will be donated to the Wet’suwet’en Yintah Defence Legal Fund.
