Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has issued warnings for the main beach at Guelph Lake Conservation Area and the Belwood Quarry.
Water testing for E. coli bacteria have resulted in the two beaches being "posted." According to public health, that means levels of E. coli are higher than the Ministry of Health guidelines and if you swim in water at those beaches you could be exposed to bacteria that may cause diarrhea or infections in your ears, nose, throat, eyes and skin.
The beach status was last updated on Tuesday.
Beaches at Rockwood Conservation Area, Puslinch and the second beach at Guelph Lake have not been posted as potentially harmful.
