On June 7, 2024, at approximately 5 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a weapons call at a residence in Morriston. Initial reports indicated that an unknown individual had discharged a firearm at a parked vehicle.
OPP responded and confirmed that no one was injured. The Wellington County Major Crime Unit and West Region Identification Services are currently processing evidence. There are no concerns for public safety.
Wellington County OPP are asking anyone in the area to check surveillance, dash-cams or door-cams for footage that may help with this investigation. Any person with information regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
